ARTIST STATEMENT.
Colour is my single most important instrument; it reveals the hidden beauty in the subjects of my artwork. Creating feels amazing and inspires me. I seize every opportunity to be creative with enthusiasm.
All kinds of subjects inspire me when I paint – I paint anything and everything! I love using colour to create depth and interest. I constantly strive to make my work as colourful as possible by carefully considering complementary colours. The more dynamic and vivid my artwork, the better. I am always developing my style, influenced by artists worldwide – both past and present. Paintings that resonate in the mind excite me the most! Among my favourite artists are William Holman Hunt, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Wassily Kandinsky, and Leonid Afremov. The Impressionist art movement of the 19th century, with its freedom and expression, particularly inspires me.
My paintings vary in size, depending on factors like my mood, the chosen subject, and the size of the painting environment. Texture is very important to me when selecting paints, so I avoid watercolours. The tendency of oil paintings to deteriorate over time makes me sad. Therefore, I use high-quality acrylic paints for their vibrancy, versatility, and longevity.
Being an artist is personal – it requires a unique outlook. Therefore, I am on a journey through life. I paint, draw, and play music, considering myself a creative individual with a fondness for academia. Learning about the world, whether through artistic techniques or reading a Stephen King novel, is beneficial. My passion for learning aids my development as an artist.
